Open Mic Nights and Jam Sessions

Local Open Mic Nights and Jam Sessions can be great to get your music out there, introducing yourself and making connections. They often get overlooked on our event calendar, as they can also be either sporadic or irregular and information on social media isn’t often updated, so help me make a comprehensive list here, listed in areas rather than dates. I hope it will be of use!

(if I like your comment it means I’ve seen it, if not, please message our social media pages.) It’s free to list here, but if you want to display a poster please donate what you can HERE, thanks! Be sure to tell us as much about the event as possible; where, when, how regular they are, and any requirements or styles.

Please follow the examples listed and enter details in the same fashion, this will help me to copy & paste it quicker, and please keep descriptions of the event basic and to a maximum of 30 words, thank you! The area we cover reaches from Bath to Hungerford, Swindon to Salisbury, please only respond if you’re in this area.

Devizes

Jam Session – every Wednesday at the Southgate from 7pm

Open Mic – last Thursday of each month at The Cellar Bar, Bear Hotel. 7:30-10:30pm

10 minute slot, up to 9 mins to perform 2 songs for medley. No bands, no drums, no backing tracks in any form, no guitar pedal boards, no jamming
Makes for fast turnaround, simple set up, ideal for solos and duos.

Open Mic – fortnightly on a Tuesday evening at The Lamb Inn, Urchfont

No bands, backing tracks or drum sets except cajons, focus is on solo/duos. All abilities welcome. Next: 17/09/24, 01/10/24, 15/10/24, 29/10/24, and thereafter.

Open Mic – 1st Thursday of each month at The Crown, Bishop’s Cannings. 7:30-10pm

Marland Music presents. Whether you’re a performer or avid live music supporter. All abilities and styles, be they backing tracks, Instruments, originals, covers..
